Traumatic Experiences

7 May 2022 by Embracing Shamanism

Typical traumatic experiences can be the loss of a loved one, divorce, redundancy, miscarriages, abortions, accidents, surgery, abuse, etc. However, in many cases they can be much more subtle and often occur in early childhood. It isn’t so much about what is happening, but how the individual ‘responds’ to each given situation in life. Someone may suffer unexpected loss of a loved one, yet moves through the grieving process so completely that he/she may come out the other end without experiencing soul loss. And someone else who is receiving an abusive comment from a stranger whilst walking on High Street suffers soul loss because that very comment touched the deepest wound inside that person and he/she got shattered. This photo is of a baby monkey that lost it’s mother in Ecuador and Twobirds, principal teacher at Embracing Shamanism, caring for it. Have a look at our calendar to see what Shamanic trainings we offer that can help with healing from traumatic experiences.
