The Power of Intention: How to Set Meaningful Goals with Shamanic Practices

In shamanism, intention is the foundation of transformation. It’s believed that where your intention goes, energy flows, making it a powerful tool for creating change. By setting a clear intention, you’re aligning your energy with your goals, whether they are personal, spiritual, or emotional. Shamanic practices teach us that our thoughts, words, and actions all carry energy, and when we harness this energy through intention, we can manifest profound shifts in our lives.

To begin, take time to reflect deeply on what you truly desire. Shamanic traditions often include journeying or meditation to connect with your inner self and spirit guides, offering clarity on your intentions. When you have a clear vision, write it down or speak it aloud with conviction—this helps solidify your commitment to it.

Once your intention is set, consider working with nature’s elements, as they play a significant role in shamanic practices. For example, lighting a candle can represent the fire of your passion, and using water in rituals can symbolise emotional flow and cleansing.
