This six-day immersive training is for those who feel called to carry the tradition forward. Whether you have sat in the steam many times or are answering a new calling, this training offers everything you need to begin holding your own Sweatlodge Ceremonies safely, respectfully and with spiritual integrity.
Over the course of the training, you will:
- Experience all the principal roles of a ceremony including lodge pourer, fire keeper, stone carrier, door person and participant
- Build a traditional Sweatlodge structure and learn how to prepare the site with care
- Receive teachings on the history, cosmology and deep spiritual roots of the Lodge
- Explore sacred herbs, songs, drums, rattles and other ceremonial tools
- Learn about the Medicine Wheel, the Web of Life and the power of prayer
- Participate in three full Sweatlodge Ceremonies
